Petroleum and natural gas are the important strategic resource in China, which isthe lifeline of national economy and security. In large enterprises in China,petrochemical enterprise play a decisive role. And the supplier selection is related tothe safety of the production and supply of oil. Supplier selection is to choose goodsuppliers for enterprises, and to establish partnership service. How to select andmanage suppliers of petrochemical enterprise in the environment of supply chain isimportant to promot the rapid and healthy development of petrochemical enterprisesin China. However, the traditional method of supplier selection in petrochemicalenterprises is subjective, and the evaluation system is not perfect and the decision islack of scientific. Although the present methods of supplier selection are widelyapplied to enterprise management, petrochemical enterprises still need a morescientific and effective method to regulate the supplier selection process and improvethe assessment system.The paper takes Shengli Oilfield as the research object, to find the lack of presentsupplier evaluation methods of Shengli Oilfield through the analysis and research onthe current situation of Shengli Oilfield supply chain and supplier management, topropose the process of the establishment of supplier selection and cooperationrelationship, and to establish supplier selection theory under the cooperationrelationship. Based on the particularity of supplier selection under the environment ofsupply chain, the paper selects eleven indexes, such as the information level, theenterprise environment, the development of compatible ability and so on, to build theindex system, which characteristic is highlighted under the environment of supplychain supplier selection, and then it constructs the evaluation model of supplier ofShengli Oilfield. Then it connects theory with practice, by empirical research toequipment suppliers of Shengli Oilfield selection. Firstly, the paper briefly introducesthe basic situation of Shengli Oilfield alternative suppliers, and then it selects therelevant expert investigation team to evaluate alternative suppliers according to theevaluation standard of each index. According to the results and comparing with thetraditional supplier selection methods, it chooses the suitable partners for Shengli Oilfield. While the supply chain partnership benefits the enterprise, it also brings risks.Ignoring the existence of these risks, enterprises will have a potential threat. In orderto prevent the risks, the paper provides the appropriate management strategy to thevarious suppliers, to maintain the supply chain’s stability. This paper classifiessuppliers according to the different situation of suppliers. In order to prevent thecooperation risk, the paper puts forward the management strategy to equipmentsuppliers of Shengli Oilfield, has practical significance for the supplier managementof Shengli Oilfield, and also provides a reference for other petrochemical enterprises.
