An Empirical Study Of The Industrial Structure Evolution And Economic Growth In Wanjiang City Belt

The traditional theory of economic growth ignores the relationship betweenchanges of industrial structure and economic growth. In the real environment,industrial restructure adjustment plays the role of resource allocation optimization.The study shows that modern economic growth and the evolution of industrialstructure are closely related. After reforming and opening, the economic developmentin Wanjiang City Belt has made great progress, but compared with the developedareas, the gap still exists. Currently, Wanjiang City Belt has been undertaking theindustrial transfer actively. It can be foreseen that, in the near future, there will be agreat changes in Wanjiang City Belt’s industrial structure. Based on the domestic andforeign researches, The paper makes an empirical analysis for Wanjiang City Belt’sindustrial structure evolution and the economic growth, hoping to provide a referencefor future economic development and industrial structure adjustment of Wanjiang CityBelt.This paper first and overviews and summarizes the domestic and foreignliteratures and theories about industrial structure evolution and economic growth, andgives a research framework of this thesis. Then, characterizes and analyzes threeindustry structure and economic growth of Wanjiang City Belt, and analyzes thesituation of the industrial structure about very cites of Wanjiang City Belt. Finally,through the Granger Causality test, Cointegration test and multiple linear regressionmethod, makes an empirical analysis for the Wanjiang City Belt’s industrial structureevolution and economic growth. The result shows: changes of Industrial structure isthe main reason of promoting economic growth, but the economic growth is not areason to promote the industrial structure changes in Wanjiang City Belt; There is along-term and stable relationship between three industrial structure and economicgrowth. And among them, the second industry has the maximum promoting effect.Then, the paper constructs a VAR model on the mutual influences of industrialstructure changes and economic growth.
