Jiangsu Productive Service Industry And Manufacturing Fusion Research

This dissertation aims to discuss over two aspects altogether. Namely, the basic theory of productive service industry and manufacturing industry combination, and the current development in Jiangsu province.In the first place, on the basis of the value-chain theory, this paper goes through the basic theory of the combination of productive service industry and manufacturing industry, including the driving force and the process of the combination, and the relevant factors and impacts. As indicated in the paper, firstly, the related value-chain and technological innovation and the loosening of regulations facilitated the combination of productive service and manufacturing industries. Secondly, such combination is only available by way of the separation and reorganization of production and manufacturing progression. And relevant chain is scattered into several discrete value-chains, establishing the combination in ways of penetration, extension and reorganization. Thirdly, relevant factors influencing such combination involve the development of scientific technology, the scale and structure of the industry and the industrial regulation from the government; plus the possible impact might include boosting the core competitiveness of the firms and lowering the cost.In the second place, this paper focuses to analysis the relevant factors that influence such combination. Based on the calculation of the combination rate in input-output sheets in2007and the values of productive service industry and manufacturing industry in previous years in Jiangsu Province, a detailed analysis of the current combination is demonstrated afterwards. Then it follows an empirical analysis and possible causes and problems of the combination development of industries.Finally, on the basis of the empirical and cause analysis, this paper reaches to the conclusion and practical suggestions for enhancing the combination of Jiangsu province service and manufacturing industry, including to facilitate the upgrading of productive service industry and manufacturing industry, to enhance the industry link, to establish the combination mechanism, to develop the information industry, to establish the information service platform, to deregulate the entry of productive service industry, and to deregulate the entry of productive service industry, and to enhance the competition inside the industry.
