Based on CSG middle and long term development strategy and supply chainmanagement theory, this dissertation discussed power generation company’s “unified andintensified†material management tactics, established a management model with powergeneration company’s characteristics, compatible with international advanced materialmanagement approaches and met the requirement for promoting company’s operatingefficiency.Through CSG power generation company’s warehousing management situationanalysis,and referring to the best practice and experience of material management at homeand abroad, this dissertation proposed storage materials’ intensive management approach andexecution plan from logistics networking building to warehouses administration. Powergeneration company has built up a2-level logistics management model–“primarywarehouse+emergency storeroomsâ€, primary warehouses are responsible for thereplenishment of emergency storerooms, unnecessary warehouses are canceled and merged,this approach effectively changes the problems of excessive warehouses, scatteredwarehousing locations, and the lack of integration. As for the intensive, standardized andeffective warehousing management approach, according to power generation companymaterial’s characteristics,“long lifecycle and small quantityâ€, classify storage materials intostrategic materials and commonly used materials. By applying systematic management,different storage methods and purchase strategies are used for project materials andnon-project materials. Project materials are subject to “Just In Timeâ€management, the goal isto achieve0inventory; non-project materials are subject to “on time in fullâ€management, thegoal is to keep rational inventory. Different management scheme can reduce the inventory andincrease turnover rate. As for the reverse logistics management, a lot of idle materials arecleared up, including in-storage idle materials, out-of-storage materials, etc. after the usevalue appraisal and value appraisal, available materials will re-enter into warehouse asinventory profit, discarded materials will be disposed by auction, to realize the reverselogistics profitability, increase idle materials’ utilization, and reduce overstocked funds. Withthe implementation of material management IT system, company’s stock flow, cash flow andinformation flow can be effectively organized; flat stream-line work flow platforms is set upto share resources and establish conformity and standard. IT system integrated the advancedsupply chain management theory, transformed materials management business procedure, andreorganized the resources from inside and outside of the company. As a result, the intensive management of storage materials will effectively reduce humanresources and inventory, improve material management efficiency and company’s corecompetitiveness; it will generate substantial economic benefit in the long run. |
