For modern enterprise, especially for manufacturing company, people continuousemphasis on the optimization for the resources and process in the field of supply chainmanagement, which the main purpose is to enhance the core competition. More and moremanufacturing enterprise had changed their manufacturing strategy to “Make to order”. Noone could ignore the significance of demand forecast–how to make forecast moreaccuracy? How to manage and control error of forecast? How to extend the guidance offorecast/demand to production plan? Thus, the implementation of S&OP became thepowerful instrument to keep and improve competition for any company.Supply chain management and continue improvement can bring tremendous return tocompanies. Modern enterprises. especially for manufactures,pay more and moreattention to optimize resource planning, and then upgrade company’s core competitioncompetence,through building perfect supply chain management.even implementingERP.Sales&Operations Planning(S&OP)is an effective business process to drive thesupply chain integrated management throughout the company.This thesis supply the summarized and detailed introductions to S&OP systematictheory, including demand, production planning, supplying, volume and mix etc., andintroductions to implementation and frame of S&OP with the example of ReckittBenckiser.Also, this thesis also discussed the combination of theory with practices and positiveeffectiveness to the running of a certain company. The reader could clearly understand andget the knowledge the worthy value to S&OP。Additional, this thesis propose thesuggestion how to improve S&OP at Reckitt Benckiser and other companies who will/isimplement S&OP.
