Our Manufacturing FDI Impact On Innovation

With the further strengthening of economic globalization, international competition isbecoming increasingly fierce, in the face of insufficient domestic demand of China’sdomestic market and the competitiveness of enterprises in China is relatively weaksituation,"going out" strategy and the "independent innovation" has become an importanteconomic development issues.In recent years, domestic and foreign scholars has done some researches about thepositive impact of foreign direct investment on home country, the results of theirsresearches proved that there are some positive impacts for enterprises independentinnovation which on the mother country through foreign direct investment.On the onehand, according to the basis of previous studies, this thesis made a research onmanufacturing about its present and independent innovative ways. On the other hand, thispaper uses qualitative analysis and quantitative method, making an empirical test of theimpact of China’s trade in goods import and export, foreign direct investment, China’sforeign direct investment on China’s manufacturing industry independent innovation. Therelevant conclusions as follows:1.Foreign investment in China’s manufacturing and its R&D investment is related, but the effect is not significant;2.China’s manufacturing foreigndirect investment to its effective patent has a number of significant positive correlation;3.Compared with foreign direct investment and trade in goods, foreign investment in China’smanufacturing is more effective about its own capacity for independent innovation.According to the conclusions of the relevant policy recommendations are as follows:For the government,1. Provide policies to support manufacturing sector to conductforeign direct investment;2. Perfect the legal system of the foreign investment in themanufacturing sector;3Provide a good international environment for manufacturingforeign investment;4.Set up R&D institutions, to compensate for China’ s manufacturingenterprises in research and development of blind spots.For enterprises,1. Expand the scale of investment and make the proper choice offoreign direct investment mode;2. Strengthen the learning ability of the enterprise itself,absorptive capacity and innovation ability;3. Improve the management level.
