Research On The Applying Of ISO/TS16949Quality Management System To The Compressor Manufacturing Industry

ISO/TS16949is an international standard for quality management system ofautomotive supplier, with the fast growing of automotive industry in China,ISO/TS16949was applied in many automotive company. As a method of qualitymanagement, ISO/TS16949is not only for automotive industry but also can beapplied in other industry. For a compressor manufacturer, there are many challengefrom both international and domestic markets, customer has more strict qualityrequirements than before, on the other hand selling price of compressor is going downdue to competition reason. Because ISO/TS16949is very strict quality managementsystem, it is helpful for improving compressor manufacturer’s quality management, itcan also contribute to reduce nonconforming product, decrease cost of bad quality andmake continuous improvement so as to achieve customer satisfaction.I am working at a compressor manufacturer, based on its own development strategy,the company start to apply ISO/TS16949from the beginning of2010. And I wasinvolved in all the process of ISO/TS16949organization and implementation. Thisthesis introduces the content and theory of ISO/TS16949quality management system,analyzes the quality management status for compressor industry, and studies how toimplement ISO/TS16949in compressor industry, quality management documentspreparation, quality system audit and improvement.Based on real situation of compressor industry, this thesis introduces ISO/TS16949implementation in compressor manufacturer and its effects, the quality managementsystem can improve quality management level and solve the problem faced bymanufacturer, it has positive effects, company working flow can be more clear andefficient, new project can be finished with high quality and high efficiency, suppliermanagement can be strengthened, customer communication can be improved andstrengthen customer confidence for quality, and also can improve companyperformance.
