Accompanied with development of social economy and technology, the engineering project becomes much huge and complicated; also have much extensive relationship with the based environments than before. The project risk factors have been greatly increased, together with those risk probabilities and losses accordingly, especially those indirectly impacts of interactions between all risks upon project have surpassed those directly impacts coming from individual risk itself to the project objects. The extremely impact may results in the failure of the project. The project manager shall be required to pay much attention on those interactions coming from all risk factors, and the research work shall be strengthened also. This paper is to study and analyze on the transmission and control of the delayed risk in EPC contracting project.Firstly the mode and content of EPC project management are introduced, and the project timing management is illustrated; Secondly the EPC project risk management is also introduced and the identification, analysis and reaction on EPC project risks are deeply expounded; Thirdly the theory and method probed to delayed risk transmission and control on EPC contracting project are studied, main characters of risk transmission, study content and methods are summarized, and the main modes of risk transmission and control upon the risk factors aiming at the main directions for delayed risk transmission in EPC contracting project are mentioned.At last, the methods for project timing and risk management are emphasized by closely combining with actual management in the field of Petroleum-reserves EPC contracting project. The paper puts forward the reply measures to the identification and analysis for risks in the field of Petroleum-reserves EPC contracting project. It illustrates in detail the application of the theory by the case of delayed risk transmission and control for Petroleum-reserves EPC contracting project, and verified the effect on the settlement of practical problems.
