As one of the most efficient management tools, ERP can be directly applied to daily business administration in the form of business management software. In recent years, the natural superiority of ERP in ancillary management tends to be obvious and distinct. Being accepted and approved by numerous enterprises, it is widely used in modern business management.The Datang Marketing Company is the subsidiary company of Datang Group, a famous domestic electricity generation enterprise. It majors in marketing of energy and chemical products of Datang Group, such as alumina, urea, polypropylene, brimstone and natural gas. As the thorough development of business and marketing, the absence of effective informatization management means in the Datang Marketing Company resulted in many troubles. There is no instant share of business development or essential information of clients among departments, and the business data can not be classified and analyzed because it is scattered. Delay of information and data resulted in lagging reaction of marketing and administrative departments to rapid change of the market. The Datang Marketing Company found it was hard to obtain expenditure and resources offered by the parent company without clear judgment to relevant information. Finally it would make a negative effect on marketing management of products, and it would further lead to problems in production planning. The lack of information management has already severely affected further expansion and development of business in the Datang Marketing Company.This thesis starts from the introduction of ERP theories and the demand of the Datang Marketing Company. It also gives detailed information about the concept and effects of ERP, especially on its optimization of the management environment in the Datang Marketing Company. The thesis does a systemic analysis on the ERP implementations, based on the current situation and business features of the Datang Marketing Company. The implementation plan mainly includes the background, the goal, the organization, the strategies, the program plan and the communication management of the project. There is also a predictive analysis on the effectiveness of the ERP system. Meanwhile, the thesis analyzes and classifies the risks in the implementation process. It shows the main risk point and draws up the risk management tactics.The research not only provides a study case for other researchers and relevant enterprises but also supports the effective application and implementation of ERP in the Datang Marketing Company. As the implementation of ERP, the Datang Marketing Company begins to promote centralized management of different parts of business on the platform of ERP to improve utilizing efficiency of funds. The seamless connection of business between the Datang Marketing Company and manufacturing plants is realized. The monitoring platform of Production Marketing Integration is founded up. Therefore it is significant to start eEnterprise informatization with the help of ERP, which can solve current problems of management and optimize the resource allocation, as well as improve business efficiency to maximize the benefits of the company.
