With the rapid development of the power industry of China, a great achievement has been made in this field since the reform and opening-up, which provides strong support for the accelerated development of the national economy. However, in the twenty-first century, with the advancement of the market reform, the exacerbating of climate change and the increasing stringent environmental surporvision, the smart grid has emerged as the times requires which brings new opportunities and challenges for the development of the power marketing. So the new power marketing system is urgent to be constructed.Based on the construction of the smart grid, this paper summarizes the basic experiences of domestic and international power marketing, and presents a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of smart grid as well as the effect of smart grid construction on power marketing, meanwhile, the necessity and importance of the reform of the power marketing is emphasized. Besides, the suggestions to the construction of power marketing service system are put forward on the basis of analysis and discussion on existing practical problems when the consumption acquisition system and the study on the advanced electricity metering apparatus in Pinggu region are taking into account. Meanwhile, according the actual construction target of95598service system, the paper also summarizes the develop experiences and study the development direction separately from the macro level of Beijing electric power company and micro level of Pinggu power company. What’s more, the paper studies the possibility of application of the price strategy in pinggu region in the light of the historical electric performance, the line loss, the characteristics and development trends of various industries. Under the condition of the line loss management level being improved, three strategies are proposed which include the differential power price to the big industrial users, a better TOU price policy and the tiered power price for the household uses.In this paper, the design of the power marketing system fully focuses on the construction of smart grid and the present situation of pinggu area, and emphasizes the effectiveness and pertinence in the actual work in order to provide useful reference for the futural development of power marketing work in Pinggu Power Supply Company.
