Research On Industrial Structure’s Optimization And Upgrading And Economic Growth In Xinjiang

In the modern economic growth, there is a close relation between industrialstructure and economic development, industrial structure and economic structure playa critical role in the status and level of economy of a country, has a restriction to speedand persistence of economy development of a country, so the research to industrialstructure optimization and upgrading has important theoretical significance andpractical significance. In the statistics sample of1978-2010, this paper takecomparative and empirical analysis in the study, measure the stage ofindustrialization in Xinjiang, review the evolution of industrial structure in Xinjiang,analyze the characteristics of optimization and upgrading of industrial structure inXinjiang, analyze influence to economic growth,economic scale and efficiency ofelements during the period of Xinjiang industrial structure’s optimization andupgrading, and make some policy recommendations to Xinjiang’s industrialstructure’s optimization and upgrading.Conclusions in this paper: Presently, secondary and tertiary industries dominateXinjiang industrial structure. Xinjiang’s economy is in the later stages ofindustrialization, process of industrialization is slower than country’s, maybe it willtake a long time in this period. The rate of change in Xinjiang industrial structure ishigher than our country’s, but in the long term, changes tend to moderate, and thespeed of optimization and upgrading tend to slowly. The fluctuation of industrialstructure in Xinjiang is higher the our country’s, the development of industries isrelative unstable, but in the long term, primary and tertiary industries fluctuate smallerand smaller, secondary industry fluctuate larger than usual. The direction of thetransform of Xinjiang’s industrial structure is same as our country’s, in the long term,changing direction towards the secondary and tertiary industry, and keep upgradingfrom a low level to a high level. There is a balance in the development of primary andtertiary industries in Xinjiang, the development of secondary industry is not balanced,in the long term, a primary industry’s labor force has a pressure to move out of,secondary industry has a pressure to move into, if secondary industry can not effectively absorb the labor force which move out from primary industry, Xinjiangwill stop in the stages of industrialization for a long time. Increasing the proportion ofsecondary industry output, it will promote economic growth, the affection of primaryand tertiary industries are not obvious, industry has a significant promotion toeconomic. Increasing the proportion of primary industry output, it has a positiveinfluence to economic scale, has no influence to labor fore efficiency and capitalefficiency, increasing the proportion of secondary industry output, it has a positiveinfluence to capital efficiency and economic scale, has no influence to labor forceefficiency, increasing tertiary industry output, it has no influence to capitalefficiency, has a positive influence to labor force efficiency, has a negative influenceto economic scale.
