The Research Of Data Compression Algorithm In Video Surveillance System

With the continuous development of technology, video surveillance systems which are increasingly mature, widely used in industry users and gradually applied to individual users. Video compression algorithm, one of the core technologies in video monitoring system, has a direct impact on the performance of video surveillance systems .Therefore, research video compression algorithm to improve its real-time and compression ratio and reduce the bit-stream rate helps upgrade the video surveillance system. In this article, through the research of intra prediction algorithm of the mainstream video compression algorithm H.264, an algorithm is tabled to improve the speed of intra-prediction coding and reduce the time of intra-prediction.This paper focuses on H.264 video compression standard based on the studies of video compression algorithms. For bottlenecks of H.264 video encoding in real-time performance, an improved intra mode search algorithm for prediction models is promoted based on the standard full-search algorithm through the introduction of H.264 intra-prediction mode and cost function model and the combination of the current status of intra-prediction algorithm. The main principles are to use Intra₁6 * 16 macro blocks forecast for Intra₄*4 blocks based on texture and the strong correlation between intra-prediction models, while excluding the impossible models to save the encoding time.The major role of the algorithm is to reduce the intra-prediction encoding time, improving the intra-prediction encoding speed while ensuring image quality and bit rate not changed too much. Through the analysis of the verification results of ten based QCIF-formatted vedios using JM11, average coding time of the improved algorithm reduces significantly, with an average decrease of 22%, while little decline in signal-noise ratio of sequence, which did not affect the sequences' quality.A fast intra prediction algorithm is promoted ased on the H.264 intra prediction algorithm, whose simulation results show that it can reduce the number of intra-prediction mode selection and improve the coding speed of the intra-prediction effectively.The algorithm has a wider scope of application because of the fine test results of the variety of basic video sequences response.In this paper's conclusion, the research work of this article is summed up.And intra-prediction research algorithm of H.264 video compression algorithm is been vision while the idea of optimizing the prediction further is put forward.
