With the demographic dividend attenuation and the third industrial revolution brought rapid technological advances, robots positive debut. With the accelerated process of industrialization, labor costs will continue to rise, traditional industry transformation and upgrading is facing severe pressure, robotics and intelligent equipment industry ushered in a golden opportunity. The next30years, China will maintain the robot market at least30%growth, and this year, China became the largest market in the world of intelligent robots and equipment industry.In this thesis, starting from engineering applications, video surveillance as a research proposes a low-cost wireless video surveillance robot design, this thesis designed a robot platform based video surveillance STM32embedded microprocessor, intelligent robot with four-wheel wheel structure as a mechanical platform, the chip select control of STM32F103C8STMicroelectronics microcontroller as the core processor, using its high-speed data processing capabilities and chip integrates a rich peripheral interface resources, combined with WIFI technology for intelligent monitoring robot provides a and has some powerful scalable hardware platform. In software design, the use of modular programming and component programming, first studied the video server data stream, and then research and analysis of embedded operating systems OpenWrt router’s WIFI technology implementations; Finally, OpenWrt as a platform to design and implement a video server, image recognition algorithms, network port to serial port. On the basis of OpenWrt operating system based on the design of the device drivers and applications, this thesis robotic inspection task VB platform is designed based on the robot monitoring software, the main achievement of the video capture, video transmission, robot positioning tasks such as robot control. Finally, the robot moves carried out inspection of the control and experimental results show that the robot can reliably and stably to complete the inspection task. The topic of working successfully built a wireless video surveillance robot development platform in OpenWrt add image recognition algorithms, increasing the function of the router, and completed the target location, meet the requirements of actual production applications.
