Study On The New Hosting Phenomenon Of Reality Shows In Mainland Of China

It is a relatively new concept by studying the reality shows, in particular, the talentreality shows of Mainland of China. It is defined as: due to special programs demand, inthe course of the program,the other participants of the program can exercise the part of the" host " feature besides the host: such as transition and process control, to express opinionsand mobilize the atmosphere,so that the entire program can get results optimization.It shows the following characteristics in talent reality shows: hosts qualified butless-time appearance; program judges distinctive and have mutual division; judges’ role isset to change and they can give full play to the language function; agenda setting is overallfixed but relative freedom and strengthening dream, inspirational and other elements.In my opinion there are three main reasons for the new phenomenon: the protagonistset requirements; requirements set by the program and the audience psychologicalsuspense changing requirements.It plays a big role in the development of reality shows. It helps to promote betteradvertising effect, narrow the distance between the host, judges and athletes, inspirewonderful language confrontation between the judges and players, ensure fairercompetition and expand outreach programs.But it also has some weakness. Sometimes the "interview "seems a bit thin andawkward and sometimes protagonists fade. How to make it serves better for program is anew topic, which can be slowly found and accumulated in the process.
