In the current fast paced society and urban life, TV reality shows bring great pleasure toaudiences, among which receive most attention because of the entertainment, suspense andpopularity. The phenomenon of excessive entertainment causes of political factors, economicfactors, cultural factors and media factors. Problems such as the homogenization of content,vulgarization of style, dramatization of performance and malicious hype,are from the defects ofprograms and urge of excessive entertainment.Audiences receive excessive entertainmenttendencies, at the same time, innovation ability of the TV programs is rduced.In response to these problems, combining theory with the case, and combining qualitative withquantitative analysis. Theoretical guidance help analyses the successful experience of specificcases. Defining the concept of performance-oriented Reality TV, what’s more, summarizing itshistory and characteristics, on this basis, investigating the formation reason of excessiveentertainment, as well as the problems of the talent shows.Though existing works, researchesand academic papers have studied TV reality shows from macro-perspectives, there is nosystematical and detailed analysis on TV talent shows. According to this situation, taking TheVoice of China as an example, combining postmodernism and gatekeeper theory and thepractice.Aimed at excavating the experiences, openning roads and innovating development ofTV programs of the same kind.
