A New Document Management Model Based On Ontology

Along with the development of Internet of Things, cloud computing and othertechnologies, the amount of data are increasing; it becomes more and more difficultfor people to obtain the information required. How to manage the informationrationally and effectively has caused widespread concern. Document is the maincarrier of information, especially after entering the era of technology, scientificresearch such as papers、books, etc, has become a key indicator to measure a country’slevel of development. With the rapid growth in the size and number of scientificresearch papers, etc. Research document management model in the new era hasbecome a pressing issue. Rational approach to the management document has featuresinclude storage capacity, transmission speed, intelligence, etc. It provides strongsupport for the document management in the literature search, storage andorganization, and it can also help users to quickly access accurate documentationrequired.The task of this paper is to design and implement a management model which isontology-based building. This model can clearly represent the association betweenknowledge. For there is no principles about ontology construction, this paper providesa highly extensible principle and uses this principle to design an ontology domainstorehouse for document management; It constructs an ontology storehouse fordocument management by using an ontology editing software-protégé; Forimplementing information shared, this paper use jena to implement information’sdiversion from ontology storehouse to database, expediting the link from informationto Web, implementing model’s function which is used to manage document.This paper introduces fundamental theory about the model-building at first; thenit gives a brief introduction about the model’s construction, function and the building of ontology storehouse which is model’s core; at last, it uses jena to implementinformation’s diversion from ontology storehouse to database, expediting informationshared.
