With the advancement of science and technology, people are increasinglyconcerned about the science and technology of life when using technology to changethe working environment. How to improve safety, comfort and intelligence of theliving environment by using technology has become a major research direction inToday’s society.With this idea,the concept of Smart Hometoday’s society.With this idea, the concept of Smart Home produced. Peoplehope to connect daily electrical equipment with living environment so as to achievethe purpose of intelligent management and coordination work.In this paper, I combine the traditional sensor technology with the popularnetworking technology and research smart home environmental monitoring systemsbased on networking technology. We collect home environmental parameters by thesensors, and realize the network of the entire home environmental parameters byusing ZigBee network, then pass home environmental parameters to the remoteterminal by a home gateway. The main contents are as follows:(1) review the existing wireless communication and propose a smart homeenvironment monitoring system based on ZigBee protocol according to their separatecharacteristics and requirements of the smart home environment,(2) Based on The Internet of things technology and ZigBee protocol, firstlywe design the overall scheme of smart home environment monitoring system basedon the Internet of things and determine the structure of the system andthe communication between different parts.(3) On the basis of the overall scheme of the system, the hardware circuit andsoftware flow are detailedly designed. Especially in the design of the sensornode, based on the design idea of low cost, low power consumption, easy toinstall, we fully able to meet the requirements of the system.(4) At last, conclude the deficiencies and harvest in the process of design anddetermine the direction of future research. On the whole, compared with the traditional method, the system designed in thispaper has the advantages of safety, reliability, low power consumption, low cost, highscalability, and achieves the goal of design, so it can be easily applied in real life.
