Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) is considered as the third technical revolution after computer and Internet. Internet changed the way people interact with each other, and CPS will change human interact with the physical world. CPS connects the computer system and the physical world, it makes the physical entity to become more intelligent, can achieve a high degree of autonomy, the computing world gradually merged together with the physical world. Nowadays, it is difficult to accurately predict how positive the CPS can play in the future, but there is no denying the great potential of the CPS.In this paper, Safety-Critical Application Development Environment (SCADE) is proposed as an application development platform to analysis and design the Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). SCADE is a high security application development platform, contains the overall process of the embedded software development. CPS is the next generation of intelligent system after embedded system. It is bound to integrate a variety of characteristics of embedded system. Thus, SCADE should be a tool of developing CPS. Using SCADE to analysis and design CPS can make full use of various advantages of SCADE platform, such as improve software development efficiency, reduce development cost, guarantee of the characteristics of high security, and so on. CPS is a reactive system, which coincide with SCADE can only on the characteristics of the development of reactive system.Communication Based Train Control System (CBTC) is the new trend of the current railway traffic control system. CBTC broke the faults of traditional TBTC which control and positioning trains based on orbit. It is the new generation of train control system. CBTC is treated as an instance of the rail transit CPS in this paper, using SCADE developing tools to finish the CBTC analysis and design work.CBTC will be the core of future railway CPS. This article uses SCADE software development tools to analysis and design CBTC systems. Relevant CBTC subsystems: Zone Controller (ZC), Vehicle On-Board Controller (VOBC), ATS, CBI and DCS are detailed analysis. Then the main functions of the CBTC system is detailed design, including the calculation of MA, train state management functions, etc. Finally summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of using SCADE as a tool to analysis and design CPS. Experiments prove that SCADE as a tool of analysis and design of the CPS exploration do have the possibility of its implementation.
