With the rapid development of the computer and communication technology, the CBTC system has become the mainstream signal format in the urban rail transit area, and the localization process of CBTC system has also attracted wide attention in the society. Beijing Subway Line Yizhuang, which is being tested in intense, is about to finished as a demonstration project using CBTC system. It represents the signal system with independent intellectual property rights will be formally enter the fast developing Chinese rail transportation market. This paper researches on numbers of issues which are needed to be resolved during the Line Yizhuang's testing process. As regression testing requires a lot of time and manpower, the paper presents a platform program to build automated testing. According to this platform, we hope to short the testing cycle and raise the testing efficiency.Firstly, the paper describes the simulation testing environment of CBTC system and the testing technology in modern signal area. Also it analyzes the testing conditions in our laboratory. Then it introduces the popular automated testing tools and developing methods from a technical point of view, which proves the feasibility of automated testing in our CBTC system.Secondly, it designed a common automated testing method for the CBTC system in our lab. We use Simulation Manager as the physical platform to achieve the testing, and analyze its functional module. Then it proposes the important and difficult points in the platform, such as the test-driven and the dynamic determination of the testing results. After that, we select the vehicle controller VOBC as the testing object, and give a detail analysis of its functional requirements.Thirdly, the paper introduced the required simulation environment of our automated testing platform, and designed each functional module of the Simulation Manager. It focuses on the key modules such as the communication protocol between the sub systems, script rule of test cases, test-driven strategies and the dynamic decision algorithm of testing results.At last, it achieves the automated testing platform of the Simulation Manager using VC and Scripting technology. We run the real test cases of the VOBC in this platform, and show the entire process of input of test case script, automatically running of test cases, process monitoring, dynamic determination of the results and the output of testing logs. It verified the applicability of the testing platform, and summarized its scalability in the future. According to this, it gives a basic theoretical foundation for the implementation of engineering.
