Smart home is a intelligent system that aims to provide inhabitants with simple,intelligence, security home life, it is facing two major issues: first, because it doesn’thave unified network standards that leading to the devices with different networkstandards are not compatible, and also make inhabitants can’t follow their personalpreferences when choose and buy household equipment; second, the application systemis based on the specific home environment, and don’t achieve the application universal;third,because the service don’t have the diversified, personalized features, and lack ofinitiative service perception ability, then making inhabitants experience less intelligenthome life. Based on the above smart home issues, how to build a new architecture is akey study.The paper proposes a Web-based technology smart home SOA architecture whichconsists of resource layer, adaption layer and intelliSense application layer. TheintelliSense application layer uses multi-agent and ontology-based reasoning technologyto realize active and personalized services, and adopts Web services compositiontechnology to compose the Atomic Web Services which based on the applicationrequirements to achieve diversified service. The resource layer provides operationinterface to the devices that are based on heterogeneous network standards, through theinterface can realize the specific perception and operation mode of devices that areproduced by different manufactures and based on different standards. The adaption layeris the link to connect the resource layer with the intelliSense application layer, and itsolves the problem of format and semantic heterogeneous, as an image of the resourcelayer, it provides the intelliSense application layer with unified control mode ofheterogeneous devices. The adaptation layer and intelliSense application layer canrealize the universality of application system. The resource layer and the adaption layercan solve the device not compatible problem. Heterogeneous data is the main reason of influencing the interaction of the resourcelayer and the intelliSense application layer, so the paper provides the data adaptingmethod to solve it. Data adapting method by solving the data format and semanticheterogeneous issues which between the intelliSense application layer service data andheterogeneous device data, so as to realize seamless interaction between applicationservices and smart home device.The adaption layer is based on Web technology, and its function is represented by theresource layer’s heterogeneous data to XML format, and also switches the intelliSenseapplication layer’s service data to device’s specific operations and perception data. Inorder to solve the problem of semantic heterogeneous, the paper builds service-orientedontology, device-oriented ontology and application-oriented ontology then by setting theontology mapping rules to realize semantic association between the application ontologyand device ontology, service ontology, so as to achievethe semantic interaction betweenthe intelliSense application layer’s service data and the resource layer heterogeneousdata.The paper proposes the home intelligent Web service SOA architecture, and gives adetailed implementation description of the adaption layer. According to the laboratoryresources, the paper uses different sensors to build home intelligent simulationenvironment which used to verify the adaption layer for heterogeneous dataprocessing function. And based on the proposed architecture model constructed for theatoms of household services, which include environmental status query Web service,household equipment control Web services, monitoring Web services, etc.The experimental result shows that the adaptation layer has a certain heterogeneousdata processing capabilities, and can provide an integration technology platform for thedifferent device manufacturers and intelligent service provider.
