In order to meet the needs of modern weapons and equipment R&D and production requirements, technology and means of shooting range testing has become more integrated, intelligent, even networked. Corresponding to the need of such development, testing equipment, functional diversity, portability, security, network access flexibility has been taken as an important content when measuring the comprehensive performance of a test equipment. Therefore, the engineering application environment for networked range, the design of a data acquisition equipment meeting all the above requirements has important significance in engineering.Based on the summary of present situation of industrial proving ground testing technology and developing trend, the present situation and application of general engineering technology related are also summarized. With embedded technology taken as a core, the design of one kind of off-line data-acquisition terminal usable in range-testing environment is introduced. Along with main components and working principle, key implementation technologies of every key part of device, such as how to realize the multiple data acquisition terminal time synchronization in distributed environment, are also explained in detail. The final results are presented as last.Although software and hardware for such terminal were all involved, hardware design is emphasized in detail. Except for discussion of the signal conditioning circuit for4-channel high speed data acquisition and storage circuit, synchronous timing circuit, composition,network access and communication circuit principle, technical difficulties, construction andexperimental results were all presented. In discussion for data storage and compression, onekind of lossless Huffman coding manner was utilized and the application effect was evaluated. Several testing results show that:data terminal designed in this paper performs as:14bitsampling precision; with four synchronous sampling channels, the highest sampling rate of1Msps. A plurality of devices timing accuracy is within2μs. Along with WiFi, ZigBeenetwork access and communication performance is proved as:in the distance of500m, atspeed of250kbps, bit error rate is less than1%.
