Based on actual needs of enterprises, the application ofPetri net-based workflow model on automated office systems is studied. In order to solve the problemsin enterprises, the paper first introduces and summarizes the current technologyrelevant to the field ofworkflow management system (Workflow Management System, WfMS). The Petri nets-basedprocess modelingisdescribed andanalyzed intensively.Further, it uses Petri nets, a powerful mathematical model analysis method, to verify the correctness of the model. The systemwas based on averified model. Finally, this system is applied to a purchasing department in company A, which optimizes the business processes and shortens the business process cycle. It also solves the problems like trans-department, cross-regional examination and approval.This system has the same essential features asothersimilar products, but it is quick and easy to use without installing any plug-ins.A custom process, the form and process model binding,is achieved through the form definition tool.It savesa lot of timefor the examination and approval of matters, preventing the loss of form for approval and approval matters postponement.It also reduces labor costs, avoids the waste of paper and solves the difficult problem of off-site approval, which greatlyimprovedthe efficiency and economic benefits. It has a certain practical valuefor most small and medium-sized logistics enterprises.
