Workflow technology is the key technology that assists enterprise business process realizing the modeling, simulation, analysis, optimization, management and integration, and finally automation. More and more enterprises are widely using workflow technology to improve operation efficiency. Time management is a very important issue when workflow technology is used in enterprises.Petri is becoming a major technique by its sufficient simulation ability and precise analysis method. There are many kinds of method modeling based on Petri-net, which problem is the time of modeling is certain and can be described precisely. In order to describe uncertain time of an activity mode, a temporal model (CTWFN-net) based on workflow graph is introduced.The performance evaluation of workflow is an important content of workflow research, the paper discusses influence of time inserted into Petri nets, and many methods which can correct mistake Petri nets into right are provided. The paper debates two workflow model analyzing technologies: qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The paper proposes an approach to compute and analysis the response time of workflow based on extended timed Petri nets, simplify the models by applying the net transforming techniques with maintaining the response time and the distribution probability, and calculates the performance parameters of the models.
