In recent years, the improvement of living standards, are making people topay more attention to the personal and property safety. At the same time, therapid development of Electronic Science and technology leading securitytechnology, make security technology to be used more widely in different field.In the security technology, video surveillance has become more and morepopular, because it can bring people more intuitive and reliable information. Inaddition, video surveillance for real-time and remote and other aspects, makesystem integration to obtain rapid development. Among them, in order toprovide rich communication interface, powerful processing chip and low cost,USA TI produces DSP processing chip with high performance for videosurveillance.In this paper, the hardware platform of video surveillance system is basedon TMS320DM6437EVM development board of TI. And I have study in detailabout the hardware structure and software instruction characteristics, especiallythe important role of multi task thread design in DSP/BIOS video system basedon DSP. In this paper,writing software is based on the existing hardwareplatform, and the XDAIS algorithm is also existing, which is called the mainjob of this paper are as follows:(1)Design software framework and thread pipelining of the system.According to the hardware and software and system requirements, design theoverall software structure of the system. Then, in order to ensure the efficiencyof image processing and terminal display, design thread tasks pipelining basedon DSP/BIOS.(2) Complete the drive system design and code. Because the driver of eachsystem needs independent of the hardware to complete the hardware task,according to the requirement of system, drive channel video is opened, andcorrespond parameters, and according to the task flow, write the driver code with DDK, which is provide by TI. And system function is realized through theCodec Engine to directly calling the standard XDAIS algorithm.(3) Debug system and optimize system. Through operating the interfaceand debugging code, the system performance well. According to thecharacteristics of hardware and software tools, further optimize and improvesystem to better save resources and ensure the execution efficiency of system.
