With the wide use of GSM-R wireless communication network in High-speed rail, the security of railway network has been paid more and more attention. RSSP-Ⅱ is a kind of standard protocol which used in the Chinese train control network to improve the security, the security and reliability of RSSP-II protocol is very important to operation of CTCS-3train control system. In order to analyze the performance of the protocol, and reduce potential security risk, the RSSP-II protocol has been developed and analyzed on its structure and algorithms levels.Firstly, the two sub-modules and three sub-levels of the RSSP-Ⅱ have been studied completely. For the safety module, this paper analyzes the defense mechanisms of network latency and the anti-tamper principle of data. For the communication module, this paper focuses on the concurrent communication. The I/O Completion Port technology is introduced to meet the communication demands. We have developed the RSSP-II protocol in C++language.Secondly, in order to research the application of RSSP-Ⅱ protocol in CTCS-3train control system, the paper has built CTCS-3train control system simulation and test platform. The test platform consists of the control layer, the interface layer and the filed layer. And it can emulate the basic functions of ground-equipments and vehicle-equipments of the CTCS-3train control system. The unified communications protocol has been designed, and the mapping between train ID and IP address has been achieved in the test platform. Again, the computer based interlock (CBI) simulation system and radio block center (RBC) simulation system have been developed. The basic functions of CBI simulation system such as the train routing arrangement and signal control have been realized. The basic functions of RBC simulation system involve train operation monitoring, movement authority generating and transmitting.Finally, all simulation systems are debugged together for completely monitoring the operation of CTCS-3. Concerning the communication features between RBC and CBI, the messages of routing authorization and train location information are transmitted by the RSSP-II protocol. By capturing and analyzing network messages, the protocol software has been verified.
