With the rapid development of the economy and the deepening of economic globalization, market competition has gradually gone beyond the national boundaries.And there have been common examples that well-known companies use competitive intelligence tools to conquer competitors, so companies pay more and more attention on competitive intelligence research development. So, predictably, competitive intelligence work will become an integral part of the core of business processes. At the same time, the rapid rising of the knowledge economy and knowledge management allows companies increasingly recognize the importance of knowledge and knowledge management, and knowledge communication as a key aspect of knowledge management which research has gained much more attention in academia. Knowledge communication model is a fundamental issue of the research of knowledge communication. And from the perspective of the researchers’relationship knowledge communication model is generally divided into three categories, the authors’partnership, the relationship of authors’ citation and the relationship of authors’link relationships. About there are a lot of papers about the three modes, but so far, there are less research about comparative research of knowledge communication model for our country and other country.Under this academic background, it is very necessary to carry out comparative study of knowledge communication model for United States and our country in the field of competitive intelligence. Therefore, this paper selects competitive intelligence to compare and study knowledge communication model of China and America in order to find our shortcomings in academic research in this field and make recommendations.I hope to contribute for the development of knowledge communication, knowledge management innovation and technology innovation.With the literature analysis, social network analysis and co-occurrence analysis method, firstly,this paper discusses some theoretical knowledge about knowledge communication to carry out systematic induction, such as definion, the types,the theoretical basis and three models based on the relationship of knowledge communication; secondly, I select the field of competitive intelligence to make the corresponding empirical analysis,and I have done comparison from aspects of the rate of cooperation, the cooperative degrees, the number of subnets, network density, the centrality on China and the United States, and I have done comparison from aspects of basic information of citation, network density of co-citation, centrality on China and the United States; Finally, with the empirical analysis, this paper makes compared summarized analysis of the China-US knowledge communication model, and then this paper draws a conclusion that the breadth of knowledge communication of China is below United States and the depth of knowledge communication of China is slightly above United States in the field of competitive intelligence. And for these problems, our scholars should broaden their horizons, enhance interdisciplinary cooperation and enhance the breadth of knowledge communication.All in all, the field of competitive intelligence is still a young discipline, and then it still needs a lot of efforts of scholars at home and abroad.
