China is a populous country, in which agriculture plays an important role in the national economy. In Chinese traditional agriculture, the crop growth environment is mainly learned by artificial experience. It will cause the waste of manpower and material resources, and also impact on crop yield. With the rapid development of science and technology, the agricultural facility, realizing the wireless monitor of the growth environment within the facility, will not only can improve the crop quality and yield effectively and stably, so as to improve the farmers’ income, but also can reduce the pollution to the surrounding environment. That’s why it is particularly important to vigorously popularize the wireless monitoring of the growth environment within the facility.The paper mainly completes the following four aspects:First, reading literature, understand the research situation and technology development in this field at home and abroad.Second, determine the overall scheme of this system, including the basic principles and goals of the system design, and simply introduct the whole structure and the basic working principle of this system.Third, complete the overall design of the system’s hardware circuit, including the analysis of the element characteristic.Forth, finish the design of the system software and simulation.The system integrates data acquisition, signal transmission and processing together. With the AT89C51microcontroller and nRF401wireless transceiver chip as the core, the system has realized the real-time monitoring of growth factors within the facility, combining with a variety of sensor, the sensor technology, wireless technology and computer technology. The system has advantages of low power comsumption, strong practicability, low cost in maintenance and high efficiency of data transmission. It can be extended to other fields with good prospects for development.
