Facility agriculture is one of the modern agriculture. It uses facilities, engineering and management technology of particular structure or performance, to improve the agricultural environment under control. Its purpose is to make full use of natural and biological resources, break out of dependence on the natural environment to a certain extent, and achieve efficient production.Agricultural production information monitoring is the premise of facility agricultural. In order to make record of crop’s growth and environment information for the monitoring system and thus provide the basis for managers to make decisions, we need to collect the crop’s growth environment data and even the physiological data itself.In this thesis, we take the mushroom house as an example of the facility agriculture, to study the application of wireless sensor network in mushroom house environment monitoring. Facility agriculture has some characteristics such as its big area, sensitivity to the environment, and the low product price. Wireless sensor network with a large scale, low cost, self organization and other advantages, is very suitable for mushroom house environment monitoring.The main works of this thesis are as follows:First of all, combined with the demand of the mushroom house environment monitoring, we put forward the existing problems and shortcomings in the application of traditional methods in facility agriculture monitoring system and explain the reason why wireless sensor network is suitable for mushroom house environment monitoring. We analyze the structure and function of the monitoring system of the mushroom house based on wireless sensor network and design the overall scheme of the system, in order to meet the size of the edible mushroom cultivation area, the demand difference of each mushroom house as well as the system reliability.Secondly, the network mode of the mushroom house wireless sensor network is studied. According to the actual situation of mushroom house, we choose the method of the node deployment, and design an Energy Balanced Routing Protocol Based on the Mushroom House Number for the mushroom house wireless sensor network, in order to meet the demand for data transmission, reduce and balance the network energy consumption, and prolong the survival time of the network.Finally, we study the hierarchical data fusion algorithm of the mushroom house monitoring system based on wireless sensor network. The hierarchical data fusion algorithm is divided into three steps. The collected data is merged step by step in a single sensor node, cluster head node and the base station. The purpose of the hierarchical data fusion is to solve the data redundancy problems in sensor network, improve the monitoring precision, greatly reduce the energy consumption of the network, and improve the network performance.
