Compared with the underwater acoustic communication and underwater electromagnetic communication, the UWOC technology has many advantages such as: high bandwidth, high speed, large capacity, good anti-interference ability and secrecy et al. UWOC has received a great deal of interest in the recent years despite still being a very young field of research. This research topic is proposed for the expansive application prospect of the UWOC technology. The main content of the topic is to study the implementation scheme of the UWOC system. The main work of this paper can be summarized as follows:Firstly, compared with the underwater acoustic communication and underwater electromagnetic communication, the advantages of the UWOC are introduced. The home and broad development of the implementation of the UWOC is analyzed.Secondly, based on the UWOC system model, the key technology of the wireless optical communication system such as the selection of the system light source, channel coding technology, modulation technology, the optical signal receiving and processing technology, the APT technology, the research of the communication channel is introduced.Then, according to the key technology of the UWOC system, the UWOC system that we designed is analyzed. The light source of the UWOC system is a blue laser diode that can be modulated by the TTL signal directly. Channel coding uses the RS code which has a good error correction performance in a short code. The algorithm of the RS code is mature and can be implemented simply. The modulation scheme is implemented by using the DPIM algorithm which is coded by only one laser pulse in each signal group. The DPIM algorithm is moderate in bandwidth utilization and the light power utilization and can be implemented simply too. The optical signal module is designed by using a silicon photodiode and many excellent integrated circuit chips.Finally, the wireless blue laser communication system that we designed is verified by using a tank. And it proved that the system can realize voice communication function.
