The development of computer technology, communication technology and embedded technology make Smart Home industry rapid development, Along with the economic development and standard of living improvement, the demand for improvement and perfection in Smart Home system function is constantly increasing.This paper focuses on the two points, first, based on analysis the current status of Smart Home appliance control system and reading lots of related papers concluded that: two options-power control scheme and the infrared control scheme used to be applied in appliances control system. The advantages of the power control scheme is cut off the power of the household appliances directly, This method not only save energy,but also avoid external circuit fault lead to damage the household appliances,the disadvantage is some home appliances like air conditioner can not be controlled,because the air conditioner needs remote open;However,the infrared remote control is the opposite of the power control; Through the above analysis, two methods complement each other. Therefore, this paper will integrate the two scheme, make up for the deficiency of single control. The second is the design of physical signs monitoring system; For a long time,health problems has always received much attention in daily production and life,amid China’s social development, people are increasingly concerned about the risks of their own health and disease; Pulse, heartbeat is an important feature of the human body, monitoring these data have practical applications; for the crowd which always stay in the house, it is necessary to monitor the signs, especially the elderly and children; and the furniture-bed is the most close to human body, and people lay in bed When they are ill, So the bed is ideal for monitoring platform. After above all, In this paper, based on the Home Furnishing-bed, a monitoring system for accessing to pulse and heartbeat data is designed.The system framework for Smart Home is proposed in the paper-the home gateway and Zigbee network scheme.The system including the home gateway hardware platform, software and hardware design of home appliance control and physical signs acquisition module, Zigbee networking and so on. On the whole, to solve these problems: home gateway platform includes the design of correlative circuit based on S3C2440A, Linux operating system, Zigbee network and the transport protocol, GSM module selection and data transmission, finally, transplantation and configure the boa server and the design of the remote login management interface. This paper mainly discusses the design and implementation of home appliance control module and physical signs data acquisition module, focusing on the soft, hardware design methods and the system communication protocol;household appliances control module to fill the previous design defects, improve the availability and expansibility, it can be applied to the server room and other places to control the air conditioning; signs data acquisition module takes the piezoelectric film sensor, MCU process the data independently, When an exception occurs, the GSM communication module send alert information and sign data to the mobile phone.In trial, home appliances can be controlled by appliance control module, and the sign data can be obtained by physical signs monitoring module and generates information When an exception occurs, it is proved that the designed system met design requirements.
