Because higher vocational students do not have much interest in their studies as wellas their relatively weak foundation and low capacity of acceptance, teachers must designtheir own multimedia network course websites, build abundant databases for teaching andself-learning, innovate teaching methods and improve teaching effects from different layersaccording to both the syllabuses and the features of courses, which can not only stimulatestudents’ positive energy for study through the resource-based course websites, but alsokeep valuable resources for the long-term course construction. Besides, superior overallmanagement departments such as departments and the Teaching Office must design theoverall course management platform on the basis of each department with a view touniform supervision and management of all the kinds of course websites. To avoid wastingresources, with the cooperation of the Teaching Office, all the courses should be planned asa whole in order to make the course management highly efficient and sustainable.In this thesis, the author designs and realizes an overall course management platformbased on the framework of the multilayer Asp.net. Firstly, the current situations of highervocational teaching are analyzed. The author takes a higher vocational college as exampleto set forth the significance of a course management platform. Secondly, the Asp.netlanguage, the MS SQL database, the multi-user interface design software and thecooperation software are introduced. Then, the author analyzes the demand according tothe four layers of the demand for software and makes a general design catered for thecurrent situation. Lastly, the design of the user interface is described in detail. In terms offunctions, there are the teacher functions such as checking class attendance, online scoring,assigning homework, and deriving terminal results, the department management functionssuch as management of courses and teachers and evaluation of courses, and theteaching-affair management functions such as supervision of courses, online class visits,evaluation of courses and selection of the best courses.With the help of the artistic teachers, the user interface of this system with proper combination of colors is concise and clear, improving the user’s experience. In addition tothe study and analysis of the three-layer structure of Asp.net, the.NET framework is alsoused in this thesis and applied to some system designs.In this system, the development of the teacher management functions and the studentuse functions has been finished and they are now being used and fulfill the requirementssubstantially, providing a convenient and efficient online platform for higher vocationalteaching. Meanwhile, the department management module and the teaching-affairmanagement module are being developed and will be finished and put into operation in thenear future.
