The Design And Implementation Of Student Performance Management System Based On Service Oriented Architecture WCF

Student performance management as a necessary step in the teaching activities, providesan important channel to make correct decision for promoting the healthy development of theuniversities, is an important part of modern education and teaching management process.Withthe deepening reform of higher education, the traditional education management methods,means, and work efficiency are no longer adapted to the need of new development, not welldone teaching management. Management of student achievement information by informationsystem, not only greatly saves manpower, material costs, but also can promote thesystematization and standardization of student performance management workflow, is theinevitable trend in the development of modern education.This paper is based on the abovebackground, designs and implements a student performance management system based onservice oriented architure WCF.This paper first introduces the background of development and status of digital campusat home and abroad, as well as the related technologies involved in the system developmentprocess such as UML, WCF, LINQ and so on. Then detailed analyze the student performancemanagement system in the function, performance and user composition etc, and explain thedesign of the whole system on the basis of demand analysis. The whole system is divided intofive subsystems including information management, performance management, curriculummanagement, examination management and system maintenance, mainly to achieve personalinformation maintenance, grade inquiry, course registration, examination inquiry, usermanagement and other related functions.The entire system uses a hierarchical structure of b/s architecture, using Microsoft VisualStudio2010as IDE, ASP.NET and C#are the main programming language, using IIS7asweb server, running on the Windows Server2008operating system.Characteristics of this system are data-oriented user interface layout, modular designwhich is easy to maintain and extend, using a variety of methods to ensure data security.Through several rounds of testing, the system has been successfully running on-line, not only simple and easy to use, but also easy to manage and maintain, greatly satisfy therequirements for the student performance management, improving job efficiency and qualityof the student performance management, and achieve system goals to be achieved.
