With the development of telecommunication, demand of bandwidth and functionality was continually increasing, transport network based on traditional technology can’t meet the current demand of complex and diversified service, sharply increasing bandwidth, more intelligent maintenance and administration. OTN technology combined the advantage of traditional SDH technology such as multiservice-supporting, flexible control, strong maintenance and administration ability with advantage of WDM such as huge bandwidth, has advantage of huge capacity control, transparent transport, supporting multi-signal capsulating and transport, easily network upgrade, strong operation,administration&maintenance ability. OTN has become the most popular transport technology in core, metro network. However, OTN equipments in commercial application at present are mainly concentrated on40G(or below) equipments and client interfaces are limited. It is necessary to make more100G application and performance optimization that with greater capacity and support more interfaces.In view of the existing problems, based on100G system that based on OTN technology, this thesis has mainly completed the following works:Firstly, research of the fundamental principles and realization of network signal transport of OTN are made, layer structure and procedure of signal transport of OTN are studied. Then formation of the frame structure and overhead which is used in maintenance and administration are described, meanwhile, the content and function of overhead are introduced. On the realization of signal transport, methods of signal from client side mapping and capsulating into the format that is suitable for transporting are related. Besides, method of multiplexing low-rate client side signal to high-rate signal is introduced.Then the advanced transport network equipment1830PSS system based on OTN is described, and made research on system architecture, principle of networking and signal transport. Several practical networking plan and architecture were proposed.After research on theoretical and principle of related technology, to the question about impact of each module unit on system based on OTN and1830PSS, method of analyzing and summing up the impact of each module on system after related performance testing was proposed. System hardware integrating test according to this topic was carried out, including the important part of transport system SFP optical module performance test and analysis, and protection switch time measurement and analysis of OPS protection, which is widely used in transport network. According to the experimental results, impact of environmental factors such as temperature on module performance was analyzed. Besides, influence of factors that may have impact on module receive sensitivity such as extinction ratio was also analyzed and the law of these impact was concluded. These conclusion based on these experimental results and data to some extent can be a guidance and reference to support the development of related module and practical networking application.After completing hardware integrated test and analysis, this thesis has also carried out system integrated test with different service pack and with service running to test the functionality and performance of related equipment and service so as to assure normal operation of transport network, beside, different network were designed so as to improve network performance to some extent and finally lower the network construction and maintenance cost as well as increasing network performance.
