In the management positions of office, managers or staffs often leave their office or go to a business trip. If other staffs come to work during this time, they cannot find the staff member and also do not know the state of the relevant work staff, which is a waste of time and energy. An electronic bulletin board is designed to solve these problems. Electronic bulletin board can be installed on the office door or table of leaders or managers, shows the current situation of managers, so that people will not have to come to work so empty and helpless state. Electronic bulletin board can achieve some simple input functions and communication functions and by setting the permissions the managers can not only modify their states in local or by remote setting but also know simply information of visiting officers. Electronic bulletin boards and tables can also devices such as digital door lock. So managers must complete their status updates before leaving the office.Electronic bulletin board used TMS320F28335DSP as the core processor, SIM900A module as a communication module, fingerprint recognition module hardware settings as a privilege, human machine interface as a display unit. The traditional way of major development projects is in accordance with project requirements and design specifications, and after the completion of the hardware design, the designer use handwritten C code or assembly code to perform software design, then debug. According debugging results, the designer modify the design of hardware and software. This process require a high level of developers and prolong development cycles, they are not suitable for the current requirements. Model-based design method, not only can reduce the amount of code written but also speed up the development pace. In the environment of Matlab/Simulink, using model-based design method established the Stateflow model, the optimization model, automatic code generation, and finally through debugging. In addition, the paper also handwritten C language code completion of the design, and compares the two design methods, proved the advantages of model-based design.
