With the rapid development of China’s national economy, people’s demands for railway travel is increasing, not only requiring the increasement of train speed which shortens the travel time, but also wanting trains to be more comfortable and safe. Through the introduction of foreign high-speed railway technology, at the time of the sixth railway speed increasement, there were EMUs of200km/h speed level operating in China. After that, the domestic railway equipment companies basically mastered the EMU-related technologies by digesting, absorbing and re-innovating the introduced EMU technologies, and can independently develop and produce EMUs with higher speed, and EMU related equipment basically can be produced domestically. However, the train network control technology which is one of the core technologies of the EMU, can not be produced domestically, and related core equipments still need to be purchased from abroad. This paper’s rearch is based on CRH2EMU’s vehicle-level network system, and had constructed an EMU vehicle-level network simulation system according to the IEC61375-3-4standard, which has a certain reference value to be used to study using Ethernet technology to build EMU’s vehicle-level network, and develop Ethernet train network communication network with independent intellectual property rights.Firstly, this paper analysed the Ethernet technologies, and Ethernet’s real-time improvement method, and the important TCP and IP protocols in TCP/IP protocol suite. Secondly, analysed the IEC61375-3-4standard which is part of TCN series documents, and analyzed the technologies and requirements of building train’s vehicle-level network using Ethernet technology described in the standard. Then, on the basis of CRH2EMU vehicle-level network’s functions and transmission analysis, using Ethernet communication technology, and refering to IEC61375-3-4standard network topology, the overall program of EMU vehicle-level network simulation system is designed. Then, the simulation system’s communication model and frame format are designed, as well as a terminal uint simulation software and onboard equipment simulation software in the simulation system.Finally, using industrial computers, Ethernet network cards, consist switches and other hardware and simulation softwares together to build EMU vehicle-level network simulation system.After system testing, it showed that EMU vehicle-level network simulation system can simulate CRH2EMU vehicle-level network’s train operation control instruction transmission, monitoring equipment status in real-time, transmission of vehicle onboard test and results collection, fault tracing data collection and transmission, equipment time synchronization and other functions, which meet the designed functional requirements. Meanwhile, analyzing the EMU vehicle-level network simulation system’s network performance, can provide references to the research of using the Ethernet technology to build actual EMU network control system.
