A Method For Measuring Standard Time Based On Video Analysis Research And Application

To take the advantage in the current complicated and changing market competition environment, manufacturing enterprises should not only have the efficient manufacturing technology, they also need to have good production management system for security. Production cost and delivery time are two major indicators in the competition among enterprises, also, both of these two indicators are directly related to the standard time of production. Therefore, scientifically determining the standard time, enhancing the production efficiency and reducing artificial cost are the important issues to be resolved for the modern enterprise.In this study, traditional motion study of the video analysis was extended to the time study domain, and a new method for measuring the standard time was proposed based on the video analysis. This new method requires the time analysts grade the speed by analyzing recorded video, then analysis the main factors which play a significant role in the evaluation, and calculate the correction factor, reduce the influence of subjective factors and consequently, calculate the standard time. This new method is efficient and easy to be operated, and it provides a new train of thought and theoretical basis to establish standard time quota for manufacturing companies with much manual operation.On the basis of requirement analysis, this study focused on four aspects, respectively were the design of collection method of video data, personnel selection and training, objective appraisal method and the appraisal software. This paper also expounded the design and application process of measurement of standard time by using video analysis. The acquisition rule and selection method of video data were regulated in the design of collection method of video data; An select evaluation index system of operators, photographers and time analyst which based on the model professional quality, knowledge, and ability, was established; The performance evaluation of commonly used methods and indicators were referred to determine the evaluation coefficient of speed, working status and task difficulty.After the completion of the overall scheme design, a software with multiple computing module was design and develop by using C#language in the platform of Visual Studio. The effectiveness and efficiency of the method proposed in this study was verified, by comparing the results with that of the PTS method, which was conducted by X enterprise to establish the standard time.
