Copper plays an important role in the economic development while secondary copper industry has been constrained by many factors in China. Given the condition that resource is wasted during the smelting process and the production process is not environmentally friendly, this paper has constructed a fan speed closed-loop control system for the air blower. Based on the relation between image eigenvalues and concentration of smoke dust, the fan speed control algorithm has been improved. The system is applied in industrial site through the inverter, and it is of great significance for optimizing secondary copper industry.This subject contains several research parts as showed below.a) Taking into account the special circumstance condition of secondary copper smelting industry, it is difficult to measure smoke dust concentration directly. Therefore, this paper choose industrial camera to capture smoke images. After analyzing the different characteristics of smoke images corresponding to different processes during smelting, luminance eigenvalues and detail eigenvalues have been chosen, which are related to smoke dust concentration. And fast real-time measurement of smoke could be achieved based on this eigenvalues model.b) Smoke images reach a convergence in particular smelting processes. Therefore, when clustering luminance eigenvalues and detail eigenvalues, a majority of data points fall in particular regions. But there are still some points which fall outside the region or in the boundaries. To solve this problem, this paper, on one hand, dedicates to exploring interference during smelting process. For these noises, measures such as image segmentation and filtering are taken to reduce detection error, removing the error data points. On the other hand, cluster algorithm is improved. This paper set a series of fan speed according to typical smoke images, using semi-supervised K-means algorithm based on incomplete information, which is a multi-level control method. Meanwhile, a new thought is proposed that the actual number of smelting processes could be ignored. Just cluster all the data points into several categories, giving different weighting values to different features. After several experiments, a best way could be obtained. Determine the fan speed of each level according to standardized samples. In this way the control precision could be improved, achieving a better energy saving effect.c) Construct both hardware and software platforms, integrate the improved smoke concentration detection algorithm with fan speed model. A smoke dust blower closed-loop control system is eventually established, with certain anti-disturbance performance and good operational results.At the end of this paper, a conclusion of all the research is stated. And the direction of future endeavors is also discussed.
