As the electronic technique and detection technology developing rapidly, the automatic detecting system has been widely used throughout the production process of the printed circuit board. Since our development of the automatic detecting system of the printed circuit board started relatively late, the backward detection equipments and measures have become the bottleneck of the development of the printed circuit board industry. Aiming at improving the situation, this thesis designs a multi-function detecting system for printed circuit board, which is characterized by low cost, versatility and efficiency.This system uses AVR microcontroller as the control center, which forms the CPU control board together with FPGA, and changes the detection content and the hardware function of the FPGA by means of programming different lower computer programs. This system integrates the signal detecting source, the excitation sources, the power system, the simulated load, the detection jig and the switch board into one, and is able to detect the functions of different boards or the machine by using different detecting process equipment.This thesis introduces the designs of the CPU control board, detecting process equipment, different functional modules designed by FPGA as well as the system software, and determines the feasibility of the system by details the operation method and working process of the system operation platform.
