For Benxi Iron and Steel Company, it is quite necessary to obtain various data from vehicles in factory and mine. In actual production process, multi-terminals are applied by Benxi Iron and Steel Company for information collection. Therefore a unique Vehicle Monitoring System is used for vehicle positioning and monitoring. Since data return modes and protocols vary from terminal to terminal, it is difficult for terminals to access Vehicle Monitoring System in a universal way and it is very hard to resolve and share the returned data. For this reason, it’s essential to design and implement a Multi-Terminal-Supported universal access system. In this thesis, the development of a universal access system is described in detail. The system is object-oriented and is based on.NET platform. Microsoft Visual Studio2010and C#are used as development tool and development language respectively. The system provides universal access service for multi-terminals. No more programming is required for terminal adapter module when new terminal is added. The only thing to do is to change configuration document simply. The system has been divided into modules between which exist clear bounds. This gives the whole system a lower coupling degree and a higher expansibility which makes it much easier for secondary development. This universal access system has comprehensive functions, strong robustness, and requires lower operating environment. In this thesis, firstly the research significance and research status at home and abroad are mentioned briefly, and the structure of the thesis is given. In the part of system analysis, the businesses related to the system are introduced firstly, and the demand for development is analyzed secondly, then development environment of the system is given. In the part of system design, the overall function design and communication phases are proposed firstly, then the concrete design of each part is described in detail, and the class diagrams are given. In the part of system implementation, first of all, the implementation of universal configuration documents are introduced, and the detailed implementation of terminal adapter module and data processing module are described, and the flow charts are given. System test is introduced from the view of unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and then the test conclusion is given. At last, the work in this thesis is summarized and the further steps are prospected.
