Currently, fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) become a hot topic in the telecommunication industry, because FMC is directly related to the network development. FMC not only brings cost saving and simplifies network management, but also does its greatest benefit in its ability to support multiple access modes and meet the customers needs of mobile communication and convenience. FMC can carry multiple services, that include audio, data, video and other value-added services. Network operators are willing to achieve synergy through the FMC, integrate the two network resources, improve network operational efficiency, to provide users with more convenient, more personalized services. Now, more and more people began a strategic emphasis on FMC, the paper conducts mainly on the technology of FMC and its applications.How to realize access network FMC in recent years attracted a large number of people. With development of the fixed access network, the opinion of "Fiber substitutes Copper" become widely accepted. Optical access technology will be mainly used in the next generation access network technologies. FTTH is widely built. PON technology is the most attractive solution of FTTH. But the wireless is the only choice because of its flexibility in some requirements of mobile communications. WLAN because of its flexibility, easy to lay, mature technology and many other advantages, develops rapidly. Therefore, FMC will integrate the advantages of both, bring new economic growth point. In this paper, the FMC program is analysed and designed, the terminal device, which integrated many modes of access and can receive multi-style business, is designed and analysed.As follows:1. Presents a solution of optical access network and WLAN network convergence. This solution uses the technologies of ROF and PON. The method of improving the performance of functional units in the network architecture of PON to achieve FMC is given, so that RF signals of Wi-Fi/WIMAX are able to transmit through fiber, carrying multi-style business.2. The paper proposes the design of FMC terminal used in FTTH and PON+ROF accessing in chapter 4. the terminal system integrates multi-style business receiving capability, such as VOIP, IPTV, IP data and VOD, and have a optical transceiver module which support ROF. The overall design and detailed circuit of Optical transceiver module is given, which supports Wi-Fi's character of TDD. The paper at last shows the method designing UI by using Qt Creator.
