Modern science and technology and productivity have been increasingly dependent on information and network technology, which gave birth to the rapid development of information network technology, and made it to be the focus of competition among various countries and regions. Existing information networks such as telephone networks, radio networks, etc. are basically a kind of network supporting only one service. In order to provide different kinds of services, the only way is through repetition of a variety of network construction, resulting in not only a tremendous resource waste, but also difficulties and problems of the network management and maintenance, creating a vicious cycle. Therefore, there’s a need to study and explore a new network system to address these serious deficiencies existing in the current information networks fundamentally. In this context, Universal Network proposed a new structural model which is divided into two layers, can effectively address the structural deficiencies of existing information networks.This paper analyzed the current service registration mechanism in Universal Network, conducted research on the problems existing in the current service registration mechanism, proposed a tag-based service initiative register model, which can effectively solve the existing problems in current service registration mechanisms such as the singleness of service types, the simpleness of service description and other issues. Based on this model, this paper designed and implemented a tag-based initiative registration system. The system functions include service data acquisition and analysis, definition and extraction of different types of service tags, definition of unified service mark, definition of service registration packet format, definition of service information database table for different types of service, the service registration of service information, etc. The data capture system is implemented by deploying the capture module in the network, to capture the original service packets, and restructure to obtain the application layer service data; then depending on the type of service, call different service tags extraction module of the application layer data to analyze and extract the service tags, write tags into already designed data structure, and then generate a service identifier based on the service identifier generation strategy; lastly service information will be sent to the service registration module, the module will handles the service registration to the service information database. The paper selected two typical Internet services which are SMTP mail service and FTP file service to achieve initiative registration function and tested the function. The test results show that the tag-based of service initiative registration system designed and implemented in this paper can effectively achieve the original service data capture, extraction of the service tag information, generation of unified service marks and registration and storage of service tag information. The result verified correctness and validity of the tag-based services initiative model,which made a contribution to the research of service registration mechanism studies, and the large-scale deployments of Universal Network.
