As a new modern display technology, stereoscopic display can reproduce the three-dimensional information of scene and make the display more realistic, more impact. Traditional stereoscopic display needs other assistant equipments, such as polarized glasses, anaglyph scope and so on, eyes of the observers were occupied completely, so it is not convenient in many occasions. The naked-eye stereoscopic needs no assistant equipments, the viewers’eyes are not restricted and completely free. As an important media of modern information display, LED display has been widely used in shopping malls, exhibition, airports and other places. So, the research of the naked-eye stereoscopic display on LED display will provide a new development way and a broad market prospect for LED industry.Considering LED display’s show mode and application environment, and comparing the features of the cylindrical lens stereoscopic display and slits grating stereoscopic display, the naked-eye stereoscopic display method which is suitable for outdoor LED display, i.e. the naked eye slit grating LED stereoscopic display method is proposed. Owing to the restrictions of the double-view stereoscopic display for the visible areas, multi-view technology is introduced to recognize the four-view slit grating naked-eye LED stereoscopic display. Meanwhile, aiming at the obvious moire fringes on the slit grating stereoscopic display which affecting people’s physical sensations, oblique slit grating is adopted to improve comfort level for watching. Then, the multi-view of oblique slit grating naked-eye stereoscopic LED screen is designed. In addition, a stereoscopic display platform is established and experimental verification is carried out. The result shows that obvious stereoscopic display effect is obtained through the oblique slit grating stereoscopic display method.Aiming at the oblique slit grating stereoscopic display method, the image synthesis method is researched, and the software of image synthesis for this method is designed. Through the research of evaluation methods of stereoscopic display, This method is evaluated both subjectively and objectively.
