The Design And Implementation Of UML-based Hotel Management System

With the development of intelligence technology, it is used more and more widely in business management. It is so especially for hotel industry, because faced with a competitive environment utilizing intelligence technology in its management means survival. With intelligence technology as a tool of management, enterprises can deal with growing customer volume and more complicated services much more effectively. By doing so operating costs will be lowered, at the same time service quality and enterprise image will be improved. Finally earnings and customer satisfaction will be improved.This paper analyses the specific needs of hotel management system in details and puts forward the overall framework using UML with utility diagrams, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams about related functions. This hotel management system uses SQL Server2005based on the framework of.NET. This paper narrates on the whole development process descriptively, from feasibility analysis, needs analysis and UML modeling to implementation.This system makes full use of intelligence technology in improving the management and service level. Hotel management system should realize room reservation, accommodation registration, hourly billing, consumption billing, room adjustment, checkout settlement, inquiry and statistic functions. The hourly billing function can record customers’consumption from accommodation to checkout, this function can improve management effectiveness significantly, it binds real-time accommodation registration and room adjustment and plays an important role in the full range management.
