Since the "9.11" incident,the global security consciousness enhanced.Thereby thesecurity industry has been paid widespread attention and then it obtained sufficientdevelopment momentum and broad market.Video surveillance is the important componentof the security industry,which comprises a front end embedded video server,transmissionnetwork,the background of the client,storage management and so on.Different applications have different transmission network.Take the city of peace asan example,Hot spots and traffic generally choose the wired network transmission,corresponding to the front-end equipment for network video server.However,for suchapplication as mountain forest fire disaster monitoring,expressway surveillance,oilfieldunmanned area patrol,the shoreline monitoring and so on,Conventional wiring is difficultto achieve or the wiring cost is too high.but wireless video server based on mobilecommunication network transmission can maximize their advantages in these cases.3G mobile communication has provided favorable conditions for carrying thetransmission of video data.Under this background, This paper presents a design scheme toa wireless video server system.The scheme is based on the TI320DM368hardwareplatform,it used video image compression technology based on the H.264HPstandard,EVDO-3G communication data transmission and processing technology,SIPsignaling protocol and RTP/RTCP media stream control protocol,Finally realizing thefunction of video acquisition,Compression coding,wireless transmission and the backstagemanagement.In the structure,this article first elaborates the relevant theory, which focuses on thesignaling and media flow control protocol.Followed by is the introduction of the hardwareand software framework,mainly the introduction of software design based on the TIDM368system.
