In the field of display technology, with continues developing and mature of the LCD panel display technology, people are increasingly demanding to the LCD, it is developing for the direction of large-scale, precision and ultra-thin, which on LCD module design, process and a higher quality requirements.This paper highlighted narrate the plight of the ultra-thin LCD module design, technology, materials and reliability. We use a combination of theoretical analysis and experimental method to improve and optimize liquid crystal display module, the analysis concludes that there are four main factors which affect the LCD module thickness:polarizing film thickness, panel thickness, the thickness of light guide plate and the other light materials.The verification of design, technology, materials is using2.4inches TFT-LCD module to achieve. On the designing, using thin glass, ultra-thin backlight technology assembled into modules to verifier its optical performance and reliability. In the technology experiment process, the first is that analyze which are the key factors to influence yield and performance, and control them. When assembly of the backlight structure, different films materials has been analysed its effect on module of overall performance. From the data analysis and charts it can be obvious to see various factors and control them, finally the best conditions of yield and reliability are to be obtained, then also to find a variety of materials to meet the reliability requirements and to develop the optimal solution process on module.
