Along with the implementation of the reform of our country’s education system,new challenges has been put forward for university information construction andmanagement, for existing teaching management system has been difficult to meet thenew demands. The details are as follows: firstly, the existing t eaching managementsystem usually only work for single teaching management, and cannot cooperationwith other digital campus system. As a result, it is easy to produce "informationisolated island". Secondly, the business processes of the existing teachingmanagement system are usually designed inflexible. Once the workflows need tochange, because of the management decisions, it is usually not easy to adjust. Thirdly,under the existing teaching management system, the difficulty of curriculumarrangement is still widespread. It has become the bottleneck of educationmanagement system, and has not been able to get some effective solutions.In view of problems of the existing educational management system in collegesand universities, this paper proposed a new teaching management platform. Thisplatform used J2EE, and constructed by SOA architecture. In addition, this plat formcombined with the latest micro cloud computing technology and workflow enginebased on data dictionary technology. Micro cloud computing is a branch of cloudcomputing. It is the using of cloud computing technology in some certain field. Byusing micro cloud computing technology, according to the data structure andcalculation logic structure from the processing engine, it calls a lot of transactionprocessing unit to calculate distribution and execution. It can help to change theinefficiency problem and poor performance of original course scheduling. Usingworkflow engine based on data dictionary technology, through flexible configurati onof data dictionary, realizing dynamic adjustment of the business workflow. Thisplatform has a high reusability, high scalability, and can effectively integrate theexisting advantages of various kinds of application. It can constitute a unified user,resource, and permissions management platform, thoroughly solve the problem of"information isolated island";Currently, our platform has been applied for a university in Chongqing and got ahigh praise of school teaching administrators, teachers and studen ts. Test andapplication results show that our platform can work well and realize for information sharing with the rest "digital campus" systems, such as Student Personal PortalSystem and Student Employment Manager System, forming a unified managementplatform of digital campus. Through the workflow engine based on data dictionaryconfiguration, has realized the flexible adjustment of workflow. Using micro cloudcomputing technology and high-performance process based on the rules of theiterative algorithm, greatly improve the performance of the course arranging andcourse selection. Test report shows that the average response time of scheduling over200courses is only225seconds. Moreover, this system supported nearly25,000people choosing courses at the same time.
