For building a harmonious society and realize sustainable development, phasing out the inefficient energy-intensive industries is being listed as the national economic development strategy. The pressure of energy saving and emission reduction puts forward more strict control requirements on power electronic converter devices.Over the years, the core control module of DC power electronic converter equipment is composed of analog devices, so there are many serious problems, such as low control precision, poor trigger pulse symmetry, scene debugging workload big. To overcome these deficiencies, this paper first analysis the working principle of the thyristor converter system and the requirement of control, then propose a fuzzy adaptive PID control method and make the simulation, the results of simulation show that the method can meet the requirements of intelligent control. And then based on this method, this paper designs a intelligent control module which takes DSP and CPLD chips as the core, makes full use of DSP data processing capability, flexible control and the CPLD fast response, good precision accuracy advantages, coupled with circuits of periphery synchronous signal acquisition, isolation drive, signal disposal and keyboard display, and finally realizes the control performance of dc power electronic converter equipment. Control algorithm is programmed by C code, and pulse generating module is designed by VHDL.The test shows that the control module can not only realize pulse phase-shifting, phase sequence adaptive, over-voltage protection, over-current protection, human-computer interaction etc, but also have some good characteristics such as quick speed, high precision, good pulse symmetry, anti-jamming. The intelligent control module is easy to use and volume-produce, so it has a broad market prospect.
