The traditional oedometer calibration mainly adopts manual calibration, manually-copiedcalibration data, and manual computation analysis, but it has defects and shortages of slowcalibartion speed and large error. Currently, there is no intelligent calibration equipmentspecially designed for oedometer calibration. Therefore, on the basis of rules in CalibrationSpeciifcation for Oedometers JJF1311-2011issued in2011,in combination with automationand control technology and computer science technology, design and develop the oedometercalibration information system, which can effectively improve the accuracy, work eiffciency,and intelligent operation of calibration data, improve the service quality of metrologicalsupervision department, and make up the problems and shortages in manual calibration oftraditional oedometer. The main work and contirbutions of paper research are summairzed asfollows:(1)The design offers the general structure and hardware composition of oedometercalibration system. On the basis of analyzing and discussing the theory and method ofoedometer calibration, in light of Calibration Speciifcation for Oedometers JJF1311-2011,design the oedometer calibration system. The whole calibration system adopts multichanneltechnology to realize the calibration of several equipment, and can calibrate8oedometers atthe same time. It adopts highly-integrated and intelligent ADS322module, thus realizing thecollection of oedometer platform data information,shortened the volume of calibrationhardware platform, reduced development cost, and increased the convenience of system,(2)The analysis has designed the demand, system, and subscirption and data system ofoedometer,as well as the calibration method of calibration information system of oedometer.The design adopts Visual Basic language to develop calibration information system sotfware.In light of the regulations of calibration, the calibration information data base is designed indetails.(3)Corresponding information management system is designed. The paper introducesspeciifc realization process of each function interface of oedometer calibration informationsystem.The test shows that the designed system operates stably,and the upper and lower computers communicate well, which meet the requirement of development design. The end ofthe paper discusses the follow-up work on the basis of the paper research to further improvethe communication mode and data safety.
