Design And Implementation Of A Multimedia Virtual Front Desk System

With popularization and development of multimedia technology and Internet applications, realization ways of communication and video became more abundant. Intelligent expression was increasingly presented in the product design of many enterprises. As China joined the WTO, serious challenges that how to be in line with the internationalization and how to enhance enterprises’ competitiveness and brand image are generally faced by enterprises, enterprises’ demands to pursue the intelligent office are becoming more urgent. How to use the multimedia and information technology to design and implement an intelligent office system which is established as a high quality window used for the information communication among the public, customers and employees is a very worthy area of study and practice.Based on Web2.0standard, jQuery framework, JavaScript and DirectShow techniques, all these techniques have been practiced and designed in this paper in realization of an application method for a multimedia virtual front desk system. Research and practice of the multimedia virtual front designed and implemented in this paper, similar is still rarely reported.The main research contents and innovations in this paper are summarized as the followings:1) A new technique based on label engine to create HTML page automatically is designed and implemented in this paper, which provides efficient technical supports for the simple, flexible and timely realization of many kinds of media information release.2) An information release management subsystem based on B/S schema is designed and implemented in this paper. Enterprise headquarters’ office can remotely control the system in real-time through the Internet based on C/S schema for all the playing terminal, such as content update, insert, audit, shutdown and automatic updating operations, to promote the traditional management into digital, an advanced way for enterprises to improve management efficiency.3) Functions of capturing audio and video, transmission and broadcasting based on DirectShow framework have been designed and implemented in this paper. By audio and video communication, the background management personnel can help visitors completing by their self service, combined with access control system and video system capture the image preservation, which is convenient for enterprise manage visitor information. The research worked in this paper has been verified in practice, and has certain reference value to the related system research and practice.
