Design Of Digital Media Adapter Based On DLNA

The article has designed the digital media adapter which is based on DLNA.It is designed on the basic of the status quo in digital media adapter at home andabroad, we selected the digital family standards of DLNA, used embedded systemto design this project. As the important part of home digital media center, digitalmedia adapter has achieved the mutual recognition of Video home applianceequipment within the limits of the Internet, the mutual browse and play of mediadocuments. It has not only the strong network connection’s function, but also thequite good output function of audio and video media decoding. It has theadvantage of convenient configuration, and simple operation.The system is made up of the embedded hardware platform, software ofbottom platform, middle platform-Universal Plug and Play(UPnP), and upperapplication. The embedded hardware platform uses the Amlogic8726highperformance image processing chip, which including main control unit, memorycell, the power supply module, input and output module and plenty of I/Ocommunication interface. Software of bottom platform including the underlyingsupport package loading, kernel compilation and the recording the operatingsystem, which completes the whole development and debugging of the state ofMultimedia adapter system.In the accept of software system, analysis each function module andtechnology DLNA standard, we intensively researched and analyzed the workingprinciple of UPnP agreement, finished the system design based on the UPnP AVarchitecture, explained the ideas through media playback, media server, andcontrol point, accomplished the UPnP module’s specific implementationincluding control point initialization, getting the server list, browsing andcontrolling media server, media file transmission control, equipment andprocessing five part. Besides, this system selects Gstreamer framework as media decoding library to achieve multimedia playback control function. And it takesQT/Embedded to design a friendly user interface layout. Meanwhile, it provedthat the system is available to most of media format, and the whole system runsrelatively smoothly, the operation is simple and convenient.
